Popular Bank Nifty index might need a recast if Sebi plan takes off

NSE may need to add at least two more banking stocks to the Bank Nifty, and reduce the weights of HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, if the Sebi proposals are implemented. The BSE's Bankex may also need similar changes.
